Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

More Food, More Fun

I promise everyone, preparing for Africa is hard work! I mean we need to sample lots of good food and practice smiling, a lot. So here we are again, at the Shields residence, doing our best at eating and smiling and laughing.....

The guys with Pat in mid-chew.

Hold us back from this Delicious guacamole and mashed potatoes!!

Don't worry, Pat is here! To the rescue!

And... All is well in the world.

Burkina Song Practice

The A-team is at it again! This time we crashed Ryan's pad and devoured amazing Hawaiian food, (provided by the Shields) and a yummy dessert by Sam. Just the type of nourishment we needed for singing worship songs in french. Thanks to Melody our skilled interpreter. Lets be honest.. some of those words sounded a little.. well.. un-sanitary. Haha! French is a funny language. Thanks Ryan for opening your house to us!!

Vaccination Party!

The A-team was fortunate to have Jacki, from the Multnomah Co Travelers Clinic, do an off site vaccination visit at Hans and Kellys house. We started the Night with an amazing Thai food dinner and home-made desert by Kelly. Jacki had tons of great information for us as well as encouragement from Gods Word. Thank-you Jacki for making time for us!
